I have been in tutoring on/off for about 10 years now. I have a learning difference myself, so I have learned to be able to look at the information in multiple ways to understand it; I am a visual learner. My medical background gives me an understanding of the clinically relevant areas of biology and sometimes what the important points are for exams. I use a lot of different techniques from mnemonic devices, pictures, different colors, comedy/sketches, shorthand, whiteboards, etc...
