I completed my AA in Liberal Arts at College of Marin, my BA in Political Science at San Francisco State University in 2008, where I graduated with honors, and my Masters in History at Sonoma State University in 2014. I am also working on my Masters in Education at San Francisco State University.
Experience
I am new to tutoring and am eager to work with students one-on-one. I value clarity above all in my teaching and am looking to tutor as a way of helping students understand their material and hopefully to help students learn how to think about the subjects I tutor and teach. I'm interested most in learning how best to use educational technologies to make history come alive for students.

Hobbies
I've been a musician all of my life. I play guitar and bass and sing. I was in a band for over ten years and still play guitar every day. I got a later start in going to college and understand that some students need the right motivation to get excited about education. Often we get caught in a "one size fits all" path through education that just is not the reality in today's world. I also know what it is to work several jobs and to go to school at the l same time. Time and work management are key to being a successful working student.
